experience & education
Since 2009 I've had the joy of helping hundreds of clients and students integrate movement seamlessly into their life in a way that's sustainable, lighthearted, and makes them feel like themselves again.
My career story is a long and winding one that begins with my studies in dance and somatic practices (BFA SUNY Brockport 2009) and led to my masters in Applied Exercise Physiology (MA Columbia University 2020). Along the way there’s been quite a few certifications including a 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training, 100 Hr Yoga Teaching Apprenticeship, NASM Certified Personal Trainer and “Corrective” Exercise Specialist, and countless continuing education courses.
I've also had some truly wonderful opportunities to mentor future professionals in this field. I've helped nearly 100 aspiring personal trainers prepare to pass the NASM CPT test. And continue to teach foundational anatomy and physiology to budding yoga teachers. I feel so proud to bring more nuanced thinking to the field in these trainings!
i take a different approach than many exercise professionals
1. I don't expect you to stick to a rigid daily exercise plan.

Instead, we focus on foundations of caring for your body through movement and aligning your practice to your day to day needs.
2. I do believe in adjusting the movement to fit your body (not the other way around).

We find options and variations that meet your body where it's at. So you can feel successful every time you move your body.
3. You're in the drivers seat and I'm here to guide and support you.

I don't just tell you what to do without your input. We work together to build a practice that will fit your life long-term.

What's your mission?
To help people reconnect to their body and enjoy moving.
Personal motto?
"Always bring a sweater." Listen, I wish it was something cooler too but I am who I am!

Still clinging to my late 90's/early 00's throwbacks.
Morning routine?
I don't have an elaborate morning routine but I love the ritual of sipping my coffee and making a plan for the day. It helps me focus on one day at a time.
Personal hero?
Every single one of my family members is a personal hero...also the bakers at Peter Pan Donuts.
Where would you most like to live?
I love living in NYC! But sometimes I wish I could pick up the whole city and plop it in the middle of the woods to get the best of both worlds.
What do you value most in friends?
Being present and being able to enjoy simple pleasures together—a glass of wine, a nice view, a few bad dance moves, and some good belly laughs.
Go-to drink?
Anything with ginger in it. Like, extra extra spicy ginger, mmmmm.
